100% Sweat Proof Headphones, Not Just Sweat Resistant

Sweat Proof Headphones

100% Sweat Proof Headphones

Sweat Resistant? Nah, Sweat PROOF Headphones!

Sweat Proof Headphones or just Sweat Resistant Headphones? We all know that kid… “my mom told me I can’t get wet”. That’s pretty much what “Sweat Resistant” Headphones are. And the same way that kid didn’t last staying dry, neither do those headphones. Sweat is a real problem for headphones. Since it’s mostly water, salt and potassium it can corrode even the best intentioned “resistant” pair. This is why we designed our line of Sweat Proof Headphones and Waterproof Headphones.

Proof is in the Rating

So what’s the “proof” mean? We work based on the International Protection Rating‘s Liquid ingress protection scale. Before your eyes glaze over, let me explain. The IP Code classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects and water. Its main purpose is provide more detailed information about that vague term “waterproof”. The scale runs from IP0 to IP8. IP0 is not waterproof while IP8 can be completely submerged for the manufacturer’s specification and have everything still work afterwards.

Our Sweat Proof Headphones have a rating of IP4. Which means they can withstand splashing water against the enclosure from any direction. This means besides being totally sweat proof, you can rinse them under the sink when you’re done with your run or workout.

Our Waterproof Headphones have a rating of IP8. This means you can actually completely submerge them. This makes them great for swimming or any other underwater conditions.

Now, just for fun, look on the package of those “Sweat Resistant” Headphones… see any IP rating? Probably not. This is what sets our headphones apart and puts those headphones in the trash.

Just like that kid that didn’t want to get wet, sweat resistant headphones are just too insecure about being around water. Thankfully you can put ours on and jump right into the deep-end. CANNONBALL!
